John O’Regan from Limerick, and Theresa O’Keeffe, a native of Cork, tied the knot on April 8, 2023, in a grand wedding ceremony held at the Greenhills Hotel in Limerick with 120 of their family and friends.

The Meet

The couple, who now reside in County Limerick with their two dogs Pepsi and Coco first met in 2013 while working together at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Limerick. Theresa currently works as a hotel manager at the Castle Oaks House Hotel Limerick, while John is the head chef at Shannon Springs Hotel.

 The Proposal

On the December 6, 2020, John gathered both sides of the family together in his family home for what Theresa thought was a Sunday lunch. This was a very sentimental event as John’s mother had only passed away a few weeks
prior. He hid the ring, which had once belonged to his late mother, at the bottom of a gift bag and proposed in front of all their family

The Wedding

After spending the morning preparing herself in the Castle Oaks House Hotel for the big day, Theresa took to the aisle at the Greenhills Hotel. As award winning wedding singer, Kayla McDonagh, performed “This I Promise You” Theresa was led up the aisle by her three bridesmaids and John’s three groomsmen stood by his side as he waited with bated breath for his soon-to-be wife.

Theresa stunned in a fabulous ball gown from Vows in Co. Cork, which had been altered to her own style while John looked very dapper in his suit from Esquire Formal Menswear Limerick.

The Greenhills Hotel supplied the guests with a choice of either beef or hake at the reception. For their first dance the newlyweds took to the floor to the beautiful song “Tenerife Sea” by the renowned Ed Sheeran and sung by wedding band The Experts. Guests were pleasantly surprised by a performance from the singing chef, John Frawley and their favourite picture taken on the day by Tony Clancy Photography was a night shot.

Theresa’s Advice “Don’t stress. Everyone knows what they are doing, and your day will be perfect”.
