The Backstory

Niamh met Conor at the Cork Jazz Festival in 2016 and after four years of dating Conor proposed to his girlfriend on the highest point of the pathway that runs through the golf course in Ballybunion in Co. Kerry. Conor proposed with a ring made specially by their friend Kelly Munro (Kelly Munro Jewellery, Scotland). “We then went together to purchase the engagement ring from Douglas’ Jewellers in Carlow where Niamh grew up,” recalled the couple.

The Wedding

Niamh and Conor’s favourite memory of October 2, 2021 is spending some time on the beach in Ballybunion with their five bridesmaids and five groomsmen and their favourite picture taken by Emma Jervis was that of them walking
back from the spot on the golf course where they got engaged. Guests were treated to a choice of prime fillet steak, crispy half roast duck or hake as their main course and after their food was digested they danced the night away to the Bentley Boys.

How was your experience with the Listowel Arms Hotel?

“We could not speak highly enough of the Listowel Arms. The experience of dealing with them was exceptional from start to finish. Patrice, Asya and all of their team in the Listowel Arms make you feel like you are part of the family and truly go above and beyond to make everything as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. Throughout the reception and celebrations we were amazed and thrilled with all the thoughtful touches they made to our day, including coordinating all of the floral decorations with our wedding flowers, designing the table plan to reflect the design of our wedding invitations, being very relaxed and flexible with us in terms of the wedding meal and timing of courses when some wedding speeches were a bit longer than expected.” www.listowelarms.com
