Grooming Tips for Grooms

Face and Body

- A skincare regime that works for you can work wonders for your complexion and make you feel more

confident on the day. Wash your face daily and look out for moisturisers, night creams and face masks for your skin type.

- Everyone’s skin changes based on the season, so depending on when your wedding is there are some

small preparations you can make to look your best. If your wedding is on during the Spring or Summer months, have sunscreen on hand to prevent your face from going red under the sun. If you’re wedding is during the colder months invest in a quality moisturiser so your skin doesn’t go dry or flaky throughout the day.

- If you have trouble with rough hands or unkept nails, a manicure from a professional will work wonders and you’ll be grateful for it when taking close-up ring photographs.

- If you have trouble with excess body hair, waxing is a great way of removing it. Quick and relatively

painless, it’s one of the most effective ways of removing unwanted hair and normally lasts three to four weeks depending on how fast your hair grows.

- On a day when you’ll hopefully spend lots of time smiling, having your teeth in good condition is super

important. Invest in a dentist-approved whitening toothpaste and start using it a few months before the big day. If you still have discolouration or staining consider a professional whitening treatment from your dentist, but make sure your appointment is booked a few weeks in advance as the treatment can make your teeth very sensitive.

Hair

- Get a classic cut – The most timeless weddings are those that aren’t overly trendy. A good, clean chop

will add a sense of class and polish to your look and prevent future embarrassment from pictures. We recommend making a visit to your barber a week before the nuptials so the cut is fresh but has time to settle in.

- Get a beard trim or shave – If you choose to go hairless, ensure you have time for a close shave before the wedding. If you want to stick with the beard, have it trimmed by a professional and invest in a quality beard oil to give it body and shine.

- Have your eyebrows shaped by a professional or pluck the strays yourself at home. While this is a small step, it can make a huge difference to your face and you’ll be glad you took the time when your

professional pictures are printed.

Finishing Touches

- If you’re not a fan of gels or waxes, a spritz of hairspray will keep your style soft and natural but with

enough hold for it to last well into the night.

- A light spray of your signature cologne is essential before you walk down the aisle. It’s a long day and smelling good for your spouse-to-be, friends and family will go a long way as you dance the night away.
